Debbie LeBlanc Kilpatrick is an Acadian artist from the French shore in southwestern
Nova Scotia. She feels a deep attachment to her Acadian roots and this is evident in her paintings. Her work reflects her appreciation of the sea, landscape, and architecture of her home community of Clare.
Debbie started painting as a young girl and over the years has been part of many different art groups. After taking classes and workshops from many different instructors over the years she has developed a style that is detailed and realistic. In her Tidal Pool collection she has recreated features commonly found on Nova Scotia beaches at low tide. These works are all original and one of a kind creations, made with materials found on local beaches.
Her work is currently shown at Art 1274 Hollis Street Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia, River House in Petit Riviere, and The Tartan Fish in Eastern Passage. Debbie enjoys participating in art festivals Over the years, several of her paintings have won awards, including best in show and most recently 1st place in the "Landscape" category (see below).
Debbie accepts commissions for homescapes and landscapes. Please visit her galleries to her view her most current artwork.
